Ugandan Gay Hating Pastors Spit on their Constitution in Mandela Stadium

It will become clear through this type of  anti-gay hate evidence, as provided by the Ugandan article, that the Kill the Gays Bill has indeed been drummed up by preachers who in so doing are spitting on the Ugandan Constitution,  and by virtue of venue associating the name of Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela.

By Melanie Nathan, January 01, 2013.

Screen Shot 2013-01-01 at 7.04.58 PMThe Ugandan Monitor has just done the gay community of Uganda an enormous favor as have the gay-hating preachers of that country.  They have concisely set out part of the evidence needed for the case that will eventually render the Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Bill (AHB) unconstitutional, if in fact the Bill is ever passed by the Ugandan legislature.

Apparently a great many Christian pastors, whether Evangelical or otherwise, spent much of their New Year’s messages trumping up support for what has become known as  “The Kill the Gays Bill, ” showing their frustration at Speaker Rebecca Kadaga‘s impossible promise to have it passed into law as 2012’s Xmas gift to Uganda.

The reasons for the introduction of the Bill in the first place is clearly displayed in these comments as provided by these Pastors in the article which I have quoted in full below. The Pastors  now unequivocally and collectively seem to confirm that the motivation for passage includes:-

1. Scapegoating a minority community from the real ills of Ugandan Society, in respect of which they remain unhelpful and allied in government corruption;
2.  Creating fear via lies and misinformation to drum up support for the Church and Christian belief to usurp the once independent Parliament, in an attempt to merge Church and State, thereby denying Freedom to “not” practice according to the Christian religion; and
3. To incite hatred and encourage the persecution of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in Uganda.

I believe that it is this kind of false information, such as asserting untruthfully that gays are even able to ‘recruit children into homosexuality,’ that will be the undoing of the Bill, when after it is passed it is tested in the Ugandan Courts.

It will be easy for Lawyers to prove that such a thing is simply not possible, as well as the other lies upon which it is based.  Any scientist called to testify can attest to the impossibility of sexuality being ‘recruitable.’  It will become clear through this type of evidence as provided by this article that the Bill has indeed been drummed up by preachers are spitting on the Ugandan Constitution.  It will also become apparent that sexuality on the spectrum cannot be considered a vice because people are born homosexual, in the same way as people are born left handed or with blue eyes.

So in my opinion these pastors who incite hate are the real criminals, just like the convicted felon Pastor Martin Ssempa,  they are all cut from the same clothe.   They will make up stories about homosexuality and provide false information and use it to create fear so that they can have their way with the Ugandan Constitution. Indeed they are spitting on the Constitution, through ignoring its independence from any religion.

Ironically, while telling the West to shove off, (as you will read below) the biggest lie is denying the fact that the Anti-Homosexuality Bill is in fact an import from the West. It was connived and conceived of by American Pastors, Scott Lively, Lou Engle and others who are all using Uganda as a testing ground, and while claiming sovereignty and freedom from colonialism, the Pastors have succeeded i  steeping the Ugandans deeply into Westerner turf.  In fact Scott Lively, the U.S. Evangelical is appearing in a Springfield MA Court next week (Jan 07) in  an attempt to get a U.S. based lawsuit dismissed against him, under the Alien Tort Act, where he is being sued by Ugandan Activists for inciting persecution of the Ugandan Gay community.  Clearly these African pastors are following their white Christian master.

Now this may sound controversial, but given the level of persecution already being experienced by Ugandan gays, the sooner the Bill is passed the better, so these gay haters can shut up with their excuse to incite violence and persecution in this fashion. Let it be law so it can be tested as it is bound to fail.

Once the Bill is passed the courts will test it and finally the watertight facts will start to emerge. Only in this way will Uganda be able to inform its people of the truth when it comes to homosexuality as clearly the Pastors are currently dominating the conversation. Quite frankly I cant’ wait for the Courts to have at it to prove the preachers have done nothing more than perpetuate lies and incite violence.

Their report reads as follows:- (I have underlined and used bold print to show the lies and misinformation that the Pastors have used in their unholy rhetoric.)

The appeal. Main stream churches and evangelical pastors unite to condemn the practice, saying passing the Bill would save the nation’s children from being recruited into the vice.

As thousands made their resolutions for 2013, main stream Churches and evangelical preachers have asked Parliament to urgently pass the Anti-Gay Bill, to avert the recruitment of youngsters to adopt the same-sex behaviour.

At Namirembe Cathedral, Archbishop Stanley Ntagali said the Church of Uganda would continue to protect culture and the institution of marriage which advocates the union between man and woman .
Addressing tens of thousands at the seventh annual National Prayer Day and Night at Nakivubo Stadium, several pastors also warned legislators against siding with the Western world, saying they risked losing their seats.

“We ask Members of Parliament to stop wasting time debating the Bill but simply pass it to save school-going children, who are at risk of being recruited. Our leaders should desist from any act that would frustrate this proposed law because it has delayed,” said Bishop David Kiganda, the leader of Christianity Focus Ministries (CFM). Bishop Kiganda, the overseer of Bornagain Churches in the country, said the vice threatened the morality of the people.

The remarks by pastors came amidst controversies and media reports of increasing promotion of homosexuality. Rev. Paul Schinners from the United Kingdom commended Uganda for the Bill, saying it was a clear stand for God.

“There is no other nation world over that has such a plan and through this, Uganda is going to be blessed,” Rev. Schinners said.

“We understand that Uganda had many problems like tribalism, corruption, but many people are simply pointing fingers and judging each other yet all this cannot cause change but it is conviction that would bring change in society,” he added.

The appeal
Apostle Alex Mitala asked Ugandans to make positive decisions for the New Year if the country is to develop further.

Screen Shot 2013-01-01 at 7.06.33 PMAt Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, the leader of Born Again Federation of Uganda, Dr. Joseph Sserwadda, said there is an urgent need for the anti-gay law because the country needs to confront sin head on.
Dr Sserwadda suggested that as legislators resume business for 2013, the Bill should be top on their agenda.

USA criticized “We have learnt with shock that the people who recently appeared in papers over the same practice have escaped to USA. We know USA with their policy will not depot him back to Uganda. Uganda should declare that it does not need him anymore. Let America keep him,” he said.

At St. Andrews’ Cathedral, the Bishop of Mbale, Rt Rev. Patrick Gimadu, decried the high-level corruption, child sacrifice, murders, defilement and homosexuality.

“In the New Year, we must renew our faith and fellowship by repenting. This is the time to seek forgiveness and allow Christ to give this country a new direction,” Bishop Gidudu said.

Pr. Ivan Mulepi, of New Eden Church in Mbale, asked leaders to lead by example to repent, forgive and renew their spiritual lives in order to create peace for development in Uganda.

Reported By Juliet Kigongo, Ephraim Kasozi, Johnson Mayamba and David Mafabi.”

That all said a big thank you to all the pastors for speaking to the Court of Uganda. This will be used in evidence against you!

Oh and a side note: If Nelson Mandela knew his name was being associated with a stadium that propelled such hate and violence – he would no doubt disassociate and request a name change. It was Mandela who came out of prison saying that never again would a minority or majority group be discriminated against and so he separated church and state and appropriately ensured protection for sexuality minorities in the SA Constitution. Melanie, you’ll know that your letter to Paul Shinners of St Neots has been published on various websites. What you may not know is that I came across one of the posts the other day (being that Paul Shinners’ shop is in my home town of St Neots, Cambridgeshire UK).

I therefore decided to feature it in this weeks’ Sunday blog which is also published to the St Neots Facebook page where you’ll note a protest, with various calls to revoke the shop’s charitable status, is being staged next week.

I’ve included links. Sometimes, it all starts with just one voice. :)

    HANDS OFF UGANDA

    • Melanie Nathan January 6, 2013 at 11:30 PM #

Why did you not tell “HANDS OFF UGANDA” to Pastor Scott Lively, Lou Engle and Paul Shinners when the came to beautiful Uganda to spread hate and conspired to kill gays Shaphic? You are fools to have been taken in by the white Western men who brought you their version of Bible and used it to instill fear and conspire to Kill Gays. They waged war against GAYS and LOST in America and so they cam to Uganda to establish a prototype country to use as an example . YOU ALL fell for it Because you did not want to deal with your REAL problems. I am African – that is where I was born; I am an American that is my country now and Americans came and conspired in Africa . It is every bit my business, AND let me say this – Notwithstanding where I was born or where I call home I know how to advocate for the human rights of my fellow citizen of this world. I am minding my business! Thank you for reminding me – and please visit again.
