Right now the Kuchu Diaspora Alliance, KDA, is holding a protest at the Ugandan Embassy in Washington, D.C. They are asking President Museveni and Uganda lawmakers to withdraw the Anti-Homosexuality Bill (AHB) passed by the Parliament December 20th of last year — in its entirety. They have asked to speak with the Ambassador.

The protest was organized and sponsored by activists from the KDA, a community of Ugandan LGBTQ people in the Diaspora.

Their message:

DROP THE ANTI-HOMOSEXUALITY ACT in it’s entirety

TELL President Museveni to keep his promise that “gays should not be persecuted or killed.”

TELL Uganda – LGBT Ugandans are responsible citizens who love their country, want to stay in their country, want to support their families, want to contribute to the growth of their country—just like other Ugandans. They have the right to be treated humanely. They have constitutional rights to be protected from discrimination.

I created you for not one other human to judge,. Be yourself and as long as ypu extend loving kindness to all your fellow humans, you will be welcome in this Universe and beyond ….”

Those guys are totally mad we can not support homosexuality in our dear country uganda.we have to live by our culture and norms thats why the ugandan community is supporting that bill.

My Dear dear Ahad Rhamesh – Uganda did not give a damn about gays until those hateful Americans came over to teach you how to hate and they did it while hiding behind their bible… with phoney biblical interpretations in a country ripe for scapegoating because your biggest problem in Uganda is NOT GAYS, but rather poverty, corruption, a long overdue for overthrow dictator, rape of girls and women by men and that idiot Lokodo who is a repressed homosexual and afraid to live his truth. That said, the problem, actually started with those damn colonialists who sold you their Bible all those decades ago. So wise up buddy!
