I am voting in Marin County. The following are the candidates I am endorsing in the June 07, Primary Election:
PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES – Bernie Sanders – Democrat
San Francisco and the Bay Area are feeling the BERN yuuuuugely and big time! Please let me know if you will be at the historic epic Bernie Concert rally tomorrow in San Francisco at Crissy Field. I will be there with an overseas documentary crew. Come talk to us on camera! #FeeltheBERN #BERN #BERNIE #BernieSanders
“As President, I will invest $1 trillion to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure to put 13 million Americans to work in good jobs, invest $5.5 billion to employ 1 million young Americans and provide job-training to hundreds of thousands of others, and create a Clean-Energy Workforce of 10 million good jobs through a 100% clean energy system.”
I pledge to support the Democratic Party nominee, whether it is Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in the General Election and to fight very hard to ensure that America is not saddled with #superscumscammer Donald Trump.
UNITED STATES SENATE – Kamala Harris, Democrat
Kamala Devi Harris is an American attorney, politician and member of the Democratic Party, who has been the 32nd and current Attorney General of California since 2011. @KamalaHarris http://www.kamalaharris.org/landing/splash-160525/
CALIFORNIA STATE SENATOR – Mark Levine, Democrat
MARIN COUNTY CALIFORNIA SUPERIOR COURT JUDGE – Sheila Lichtblau, Democrat
Lichtblau 50, of Mill Valley, is a deputy county counsel in Marin. She says she would bring diversity to the bench both professionally — from her career in the public, private and nonprofit sectors — and personally, as the daughter of immigrants from India and Puerto Rico. “With the retirement of Judge Faye D’Opal, our county will lose a respected jurist. I am honored that out of all of the candidates, she has endorsed me for her seat.
I am the only candidate currently serving both as a Superior Court Judge Pro Tem and federal mediator. I would bring essential legal diversity to the court. I’ve represented the poor, small and large businesses, schools, our county and our state. I’ve tried cases in state and federal courts, and before the California Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.
Early in my career, I worked with disabled Spanish-speaking clients. Later, I was the only woman to earn partner at a national law firm. For the last ten years I’ve served you, the people of Marin, as Deputy County Counsel representing our county’s agencies and departments.
I have a diverse life experience. I’m the daughter of a schoolteacher from Puerto Rico and an engineer from India. I’m a Bay Area native, UC Berkeley and Hastings College of the Law graduate, and live in Marin with my husband and two sons.
As your elected judge, I pledge to protect the safety of our community and to treat everyone with fairness, dignity and respect.”
MARIN COUNTY DISTRICT 2 SUPERVISOR- Frank Egger
However if it looks like voting for Egger would get Kevin Haroff elected ahead of incumbent Supervisor Katie Rice, the I will be compelled to vote Rice to avoid a Haroff win who I do not trust on many issues. Rice and Haroff raised the most money.
Frank was elected to ten consecutive terms on the Fairfax Town Council and served 7 terms as mayor. Over the years he steadfastly worked to protect Fairfax’s small town character, fighting hard to preserve the last of the old Marin towns. Pacific Sun readers regularly select Fairfax as the Best Town in Marin, thanks to Frank’s perseverance. Frank was the first Proposition 20 California Coastal Commissioner appointed. There were 84 commissioners all together up and down the coast. He was at the forefront of the movement to Save the Coast, expand public access to beaches and limit development and after nine years on the commission, the Sierra Club and Coastal Alliance ranked the 84 commissioner’s voting records. Frank was #1, the top environmental voter. http://www.frankegger.com/
