“Marriage is an institution designed to protect children,” said a Lou Dobb guest, David Blackenhorn. “Marriage is pro child. Therefore we need to should save the INSTITUTION of marriage.”
Yet Mr. Blackenhorn argued himself into a very tight corner, when he said children should have both a mother and a father and in the next breathe referred to broken homes. All the guest succeeded in doing was begging the question. The perfect opportunity for the opposing guest to jump in – I do not know who he is- but he was not that adept at the issue – certainly not in the activist format.
By the way- Ms. California, a topic prelude to the discussion, made the question into the political firestorm it has become, for 2 simple reasons:
1. She took on the assignment of promoting the agenda of NOM; and
2. She could have defused the question – and had her free speech on a different less public forum.
Lou, may the god/dess of debate and LGBT culture bless you, before you take a topic on, call me- anytime; the literature and research shows that children in LGBT families are particularly well adjusted. But thanks for asking the big question – ” how does gay marriage negatively impact family unit and how does it hurt straight marriage?”
Oh and Mr. B – there IS SOMETHING SPECIAL about my kids life and they have 2 MOMS. Just look at them, please!
Gross. I didn’t know Lou Dobbs was on NOM’s side.
I hopeI did not create that impression – he pdid some good questioning – I dont think he took a side I think he had a poor choice of guests on both sides of the issue and also he had not done his own statitistical or more in depth homework on the issue of gay families, especially children in Lesbian and Gay families. Thanks for visiting and please come back soon.
With the divorce rate greater than 50 % , the only benefit to Marrage is Income Tax Reduction. Since Singles pay the highest pro-portionate rates it’s not unusual that some will go “gay” for Income Tax Evasion :)
