Sacramento Church Lease will not be renewed due to Hate by Pastor Jiminez

Screen Shot 2016-06-21 at 7.38.33 PMAfter self proclaimed Pastor Roger Jiminez launched his hate attack and slandered the lives and memories of the 49 massacred LGBTQIA in Orlando, people from all over California traveled to Sacramento to protest outside the Church.  The protests were robust and heartfelt and Jiminez  is now starting to feel the brunt of one certain fact and that is most of America, from all walks of life, will not tolerate abject hate – and worse yet, not in the name of Christianity.  What we have learned is that karma and some form of poetic justice can be rather swift when love and what is RIGHT prevails.   I for one do not wish any harm to Jiminez,  yet am pleased that he is seeing the level of acceptance and love that the LGBT community is receiving, and that has translated into a reaction not only by protestors but also by the landlord of the Church. I am sure this is not over. There will be more peaceful reprisals.   What is so profoundly true about Jiminez is that he has shown his religious babble is no different to the form of Jihadist extremism that played a crucial role in the Orlando massacre.  Roger Jiminez is complicit. He may as well have held that gun in his hand, himself.

This is what Jiminez said:

“Are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today? I think Orlando, Florida, is a little safer tonight. The tragedy is that more of them didn’t die. The tragedy is I’m kind of upset he didn’t finish the job.”

Here is ABC10 report elucidating the response of the landlord of the building where the church is housed:

The property management company and owner of the building in which Verity Baptist Church and its Pastor Roger Jimenez preside have decided not to renew the church’s lease, and have asked church officials to consider moving.

While Harsch Investment Properties, owner of the Northgate Business Park where the church is located, cannot legally evict the church under the terms of the lease, representatives of the property management company say they cannot tolerate “tenants who advocate hatred and the taking of innocent lives.”

“We have many places of worship and other religious organizations in the properties we manage,” company officials stated in a press release. “Like all our tenants, their occupancy rights are protected in their leases.”

Officials said they have communicated their views to church officials, and while their lease does not expire until March 31, 2017, the property managers have asked them to consider moving out of the business park.

Managers noted should church officials decide to move out, their lease would be canceled without any penalty.

“Just as we respect the right of individuals to speak their views, as distasteful as they may be, we also respect the right of others to protest as a reflection of their values,” the release states.

ABC10 News spoke with Jimenez at his Sacramento home on June 14. He said he did not have any regrets about the sentiments expressed in his June 12 sermon.  READ FULL REPORT.

PROTESTING ROGER JIMINEZ – READ MORE and see VIDEO:

At least 1,000 protesters started gathering early in the morning with signs proclaiming, “We are Orlando,” “Love is the cure” and “Hate is easy, love takes courage.”

“The lesbian gay transgender bisexual community is going to stand together,” protest organizer John Hayden said. “We are standing together right now in solidarity to negate a message that the preacher is sending that all gay and lesbian people need to be killed.”
