Scott Lively | Satan wins back the scouts

Ever since the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) reported that they were going to be voting on a resolution to allow under 18 year old open gay scouts while reaffirming their ban on open gay adults, including 18+ scouts, there has been a debate in the blogosphere as to whether this was progress or shameful homophobia.  I will admit to falling in the latter category which was rather evident by my post here on OBLOGDEE the day before the vote: ‘Boy Scouts resolution for vote tomorrow only perpetuates homophobia‘.  Scott Lively has now weighed in and as expected it’s the beaut to be expected following his own previous blog piece: ‘How to Save the Boy Scouts: The First Amendment Supremacy Clause’.

Lively doesn’t believe that “the homo-fascists are going to be placated by this half-measure”.  That’s fun for me, one of the homo-fascists displeased with the half-measure,  since I believe the decision as to whether the BSA ever lets in gay adults rests with the corporate donors by if and how quickly they reopen the purse strings following last week’s gay youth ‘half-measure’.  Whatever you believe, Lively is in favor of taking “the whole organization down as quickly as possible“.

In case we don’t see the disastrous writing on the wall that would garner such a decree, Lively gives us the historical perspective so that we can see the results of the vote are indeed predetermined:

“It is not generally known, but the youth hiking and camping movement we know today in America as the Boy Scouts, has its roots in pederasty.  Pederasty, also known as Man/Boy Sex, is the overlapping common core of the now open male homosexual and still hidden male pedophile communities.  It involves primarily sexual relationships between adult men of any age and boys roughly from age 7 to 17.  It is the most common form of homosexual relationship in history and the means by which a great many young men are recruited into a life-long homosexual identity.

There are no doubt many hidden and very cautious pederasts already lurking in the Boy Scout leadership who are now salivating over the prospect of having in their care self-declared “gay” boys whom they can approach sexually with far less fear of exposure.  “Gay” boys who can also help to recruit their peers into intergenerational “gay” relationships.”

Lively then goes on to blame it all, of course, on the Germans and their nationwide scouting organization. He winds his way to Hitler, the Nazis, and as line from Casablanca goes: ‘Round up the usual suspects’.

Lively believes the British organization that the Boy Scouts of America is based on was successful only because of its Biblical values.  Biblical values now in tatters thanks to “[t]he amoral fat cats now running this once venerable organization.”  An organization that will now will do most of the work of recruiting the victims much like the Roman Catholic Church whose “priesthood scandal was not about pedophilia, but pederasty, a form of homosexuality“.  The Boy Scouts now an organization which “officially voted to abandon Biblical values and must now begin to experience the consequences of its cowardice and stupidity.”

What effect the vote last week, to allow open gay youth starting in 2014, will have on the Boy Scouts of America remains to be seen.  As does whether the vote is the first domino toward non-discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, or a shameful homophobia perpetuating ‘half-measure,’ taken only to restore corporate funding.  But we don’t need to wonder where Scott Lively or any of the SPLC-designated hate groups stand on the issue.
