Members of the Congressional Black Caucus and Planned Parenthood Patients Hold Press Conference to Underscore Planned Parenthood’s Vital Work in African American Communities

Washington, D.C. – In the face of a looming government shutdown, Congresswoman Gwen Moore (WI-04), Congresswoman Donna Edwards (MD-04), and Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12), will join patients of Planned Parenthood on Capitol Hill to promote Planned Parenthood’s critical work in African American and low-income communities across the country.

These patients will share their stories – many of which are raw and personal – and describe the unique obstacles women of color encounter in accessing safe, legal abortions and other reproductive health services.
