New Accuser for Secretly Gay Murder Suspect Shrien Dewani

A beautiful bride and the perfect groom and what better than a honeymoon in magnificent Cape Town, South Africa. It would take wealth to put on the lavish wedding depicted in the photographs splashed across the world press, and that wealth itself would serve to question the very alibi upon which the sinister  suspect would rely.

Honeymooner Anni Dewani, 28 years old, was shot dead after the taxi she and her husband Shrien Diwani were traveling in was hijacked in Khayelitsha township. This may spell the plot of a new husband who being British probably did not realize that traveling in a Township, at night, would be the last place wealthy tourist would visit. It is a dangerous venue for anyone unfamiliar and there is simply no reason for a a five-star hotel affording couple to even enter those gates , day or night. The mistake husband Dewani made was to tell authorities that he intended to be in Khayelitsha, and not that he had been rerouted by the so called Hijackers to that venue.

That is the very township I personally traveled into, taunted during daylight hours while with a group of soccer playing lesbians, as we attended the murder trail of young lesbian, Zoliswa.  Ironically the latter trial took five years and 40 postponements to convict the killers whereas Anni’s killer, Zola Tongo had his trial over in a year, bar the rich husband who got away!

Yes Zola Tongo, a 26-year-old man from Khayelitsha, the township  which is about 30 miles away from Cape Town, was taken in almost immediately for questioning by police and a year later was convicted for the murder of the young beautiful Anni, informing authorities that he was a hired gun. He named Shrien Dewani.

The initial story was that two men armed with guns approached the couple’s stationary car, ordered the driver to get out and sped off with the tourists still inside. The gunmen later released the husband, who flagged down a passing motorist and took him to the police. The vehicle was later recovered with the woman’s body inside. That made no sense.She was not sexually assaulted, Simply shot with one bullet and husband was freed? Mr Dewani, 30, from Westbury-on-Trym near Bristol, had just celebrated his lavish wedding and now he was touring a slum where his wife was shot and he was freed!

Soon an escort came forward alleging Mr., Dewani had hired him for kinky gay sex and then the motive became apparent. Mr. Dewani of Indian descent had been forced into a face saving marriage and apparently wanted the only way out.

Mr Dewani had made his way back to the UK  and now remains a suspect who received a recent reprieve from extradition when on Friday a  Britain’s High Court temporarily halted Dewani’s extradition to South Africa on mental health grounds, saying it would be “unjust and oppressive”.

Now a second person has come forward with similar allegations of gay sex and this time the man is no escort but rather a  senior parliamentary figure, according to the  British newspaper the Daily Star reports this weekend.

“The respected political aide, who mixes in the highest circles at Westminster, told police he and Dewani allegedly enjoyed a series of sordid encounters at gay fetish club The Hoist in London, according to the newspaper.

The 53-year-old political adviser said they allegedly had sex in one of the rooms at the club, which holds “spanking and punishment” parties. This allegedly happened on several occasions between 2003 and 2008.  The man told detectives that Dewani was a “submissive” who enjoyed sadomasochism and dressing up in leather.”

The report goes on to state that Dewani’s denial that he was secretly gay prompted the man to come forward with his claims. He gave a statement to Scotland Yard in December 2010, according to the report. He is the second man to come forward and claim he had a sexual relationship with Dewani.

According to the first accuser, a German Escort, he was being lined up as a key State witness in the event that Dewani would stand trial in South Africa. The escort apparently claimed Dewani had told him he needed to “find a way out of getting married” and that he would be “disowned” by his family if he attempted to break off his engagement.

He would be extradited to South Africa as soon as he was fit. Dewani was being treated in a mental health hospital in his hometown of Bristol, western England.  He has denied arranging the contract killing of his bride,  Anni.

It is time for some real justice – when it comes to South African authorities and wealth- well one wonders when and if!
