But wait – watch out – what if we get our grubby queer hands on her?

Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko is the highest-ranking female politician in Russia, the former governor of Saint Petersburg and the current Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. She also hates gays.
Valentina Matviyenko, described as the most powerful woman in Russia, may forget she and her cronies are not exactly welcome in the U.S.A . Should Valentina Matviyenko and her crew receive VISAS into the U.S.A., for any reason, even for talks on Syria? Their human rights records have hurt all adoptive children from Russia as well as LGBT people, who have become the heightened targets for violence, since the new anti-gay laws passed in June 2013 and more of which continue to be introduced in the DUMA.
Now Matviyenko wants her team to visit the U.S.A. and This report from Voice of America:
Russian President Vladimir Putin says he supports the idea of sending a delegation from the country’s parliament to Washington to urge members of the U.S. Congress not to support military intervention in Syria. Valentina Matviyenko, who chairs the Federation Council, the Russian parliament’s upper chamber, outlined the proposal to send a parliamentary delegation to the U.S. on Monday during a meeting with Putin. The meeting also was attended by Sergei Naryshkin, the speaker of the State Duma, the lower parliamentary house. Matviyenko said she hopes for an “active dialogue” with U.S. lawmakers about possible military intervention in Syria.Putin called the idea “very timely and correct.”
AND this critical reminder of the Magnitsky Act, lest we forget:
Russians petition USA to punish Russian Duma on: December 23, 2012, 10:07:18 AM » From www.mendeleyevjournal.com
Wow, as of the most recent count, over 38,000 electronic signatures have been added to a petition asking the Obama administration to punish members of the Russian Duma who voted to end the adoption of Russian children by American families.
The recent “Magnitsky Act” passed by the US Congress and signed into law takes measures to punish Russian officials involved in the alleged torture and murder of Russian Hermitage whistleblower Sergei Magnitsky.
Russian President Vladimir Putin reacted immediately and his party United Russia hastily pushed thru a bill in the Russian Duma (Parliament) to strip the rights of Russian orphans to be adopted by American families as a response to the American Magnitsky Act. An official treaty between the two countries allows American families to adopt Russian orphans.
While only American citizens can initiate a petition, anyone around the world can sign an existing petition and members of the Russian opposition are using social media to promote the petition with links. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/identify-russian-law-makers-jeopardizing-lives-russian-orphans-responsible-under-magnitsky-act/q9LbTGRB
For Russian readers:
(From a Russian opposition activist)
Russia’s Senate voted overwhelmingly yesterday for a bill to impose strict fines for broadly defined “propaganda of non-traditional sex relations” in the presence of minors, including in the media and on the Internet. The bill was passed 434-0 with one abstention on June 11 by Russia’s lower legislative body, the State Duma.
The Bill became law after it was signed by homophobic President Vladimir Putin. The Senate, known as the Federation House, voted 137-0 for the bill, also with one abstention, a great piece of team work by Valentina Matviyenko.
Should she and or her team land on our U.S. soil, perhaps the White House can thumb their nose at the odious anti-gay laws by giving her a team of negotiators, fully diverse, to include a host of superbly impressive LGBT people, toss in a few hated Jews and also a smattering of despised color here and there. As far as I concerned I hope that Valentina Matviyenko keeps her grubby hands off US soil and if she or any of her team finds themselves here, expect Pussy Riot protests and rotten eggs and tomatoes.
