Melanie Nathan, B.A. LL.B, practiced law in South Africa until immigrating to the US in 1985.
She is the founding CEO of PRIVATE COURTS a consulting firm specializing in conflict resolution, mediation for family and business, personal advocacy, multi-organization consensus building and strategy development. She is passionate about LGBT equality, especially immigration issues and was the lead advocate on the Shirley Tan deportation case. She writes about anything that tips the scales of justice.
