Name of South African victim given as David Smith | Russian Anti-gay Perptartors – Occupy Pedophilia ‘s Maxim Martsinkevich
We have been reporting for some time the attacks of young people, including students, who are lured through the internet, by anti-LGBT, neo-Nazi and ultra-nationalists groups in Russia. We have also been reporting that these groups have gained strength and increased their attacks on young gay (LGBT) people or those perceived as gay, especially since passage of the new anti-gay law, known as the anti-propaganda law.
According to the Russian LGBT advocacy group, Spectrum Human Rights, Putin’s government continues the homophobic and xenophobic propaganda on all state run media outlets. As a result fascists started to attack international students and even go on hunting tours (“safaris”) in nearby countries.
In Belgorod, Russia the infamous Neo Nazi group “Okkupaj Pedofilyaj” (Occupy Pedophilia ) lured into the trap and tortured a South African national who came to Russia to study at the local University. The victim identified himself as David Smith, 20 years old. On the video his captors detained David in the bathtub, shaved his head in a reverse mohawk, painted the shaved part in green, assaulted with watermelon and later made him imitate an oral sex with a beer bottle.

Throughout the whole video gang members made numerous racial slurs and even made his victim say “White Power” in English (see the video below at 24:37).
Recently the same Neo Nazi groups conducted so-called “White Train Car” action where they attacked and severely assaulted non-ethnic Russians passengers in Moscow subway. The attack was carried out in the broad day light while chanting “Kill! Kill! Kill!”, Russian police did nothing to stop it.
Enjoying full impunity at home Russian Neo Nazi has decided to export their movement to the nearby Ukraine. Their infamous leader, Maxim Martsinkevich (aka “Tesak”, i.e. “Cleaver”) has just completed his Ukrainian tour where he personally captured and tortured 16 years old gay men while calling them “pedophiles”.
The reason Tesak has been able to pursue his reign of terror is that he has a license to do it, tacitly bestowed upon him by Vladimir Putin, through homophobic law, further anti-gay laws before the Russian Duma, and State sponsored media propaganda, a continuing anti-gay rhetoric, spreading myth and lies about homosexuality. Until such time as this changes Vladimir Putin may as well be the hand metering out this torture. Now this is spreading to surrounding areas.
What makes this worse is that Putin has the names and faces of Maxim Martsinkevich and his henchman, who have no fear in displaying their antics on line. In fact it is the online aspect that serves as the final bout of torture as the whole idea is to expose and humiliate young gays. This type of abusive and public “outing” has resulted in many suicides. Putin has blood on his hands. Until such time as his vigilantes gatekeepers, acting in concert with the State sponsored propaganda are brought to justice, Putin and his regime must be held accountable.
Activists are concerned for the safety of this young man. Today we will be urging South African officials to follow up and ensure his safety. South Africa has a fully inclusive Constitution that includes outlawing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

So, the Russian government seems to have forgotten how many of its citizens roam Africa – especially South Africa… We welcome them, treat them as our own. Gay couples enjoy full and equal rights in SA.

It IS anti-gay to suggest that talking to young people about being gay can hurt them. It presupposes that being gay is NOT okay and that is in and of itself ANTI-GAY. If I told you that I was not going to talk to children about heterosexuality and that I would ban them from hearing about it or expressing their pride about being straight, then I am certain you would perceive such a law as being anti-straight. So get over the fabrication of trying to hide beind you phoney justifications. YOU are anti-gay if you have and agree with a law that says minors cannot see or hear anything to do with being gay. There are thousands of teens who are grappling with their sexuality in Russia, just like every other country. They should be able to speak to counselors, have support groups, and they should be able to come out with pride if they are in fact GAY.
